Bowlsnet Disaster: One week later

It is now 7 days since the bowling world woke up to last Wednesday's Bowlsnet Computer Disaster. We visited each of the leagues Bowlsnet sites yesterday and we found that 10 of these leagues have almost completed a full recovery with just a few teams struggling to complete their records.

There has clearly been a lot of work undertaken by League and club officials to complete the recovery in such a manner and within one week after being faced with a complete wipeout of the season's fixtures and results. So how are the 12 local leagues faring in their recovery work programmes as at 6.00pm yesterday.

Huddersfield Veterans 6-Man League All the results up until the end of April appear to have been uploaded. Just a few missing results in May for Division 2 matches. June results seem to be complete. All the Julie Fuller Trophy results seem complete.

Huddersfield Veterans 10-Man League

I counted only 4 missing results in the 10-Man League with three of those involving the same Division 2 team stretching back to April. The Bistro results are all complete except for one from Thursday's round of matches. No Team KO results are available at present.

Huddersfield Saturday League

Just 11 results are missing stretching back to the opening day of the season.

Mirfield League

The complete season's fixture programme and results to date have been added to the system and the system is fully live from the Saturday following the crash. This is thanks to a Stanningly bowler who provided a complete backup copy to the League for reloading onto the system.

Huddersfield Works League

The full 2025 fixture programme has been added back onto the system and only 12 results remain outstanding to be added back on to the system.

Huddersfield Liberal League

All the full season's fixtures have been uploaded and 19 of those played to date still remain to be added to the system.

Colne Valley League

System is offline and no access or information available.

Heavy Woollen Afternoon League

All the fixtures have been uploaded and results are in for them all up to date. No results are in for the early rounds of the division Cup Competitions but the most recent round is complete for all divisions.

Heavy Woollen Evening League

All fixtures loaded up for the full season and results are complete and up to date. The AB Senior Cup competition results are complete and up to date.

Dearne & Don League

System closed down and no access or information is available.

Yorkshire Veterans Inter-District League

Apart from two Castleford home results all the season's records are complete.

Huddersfield Winter League As previously reported the Winter League system was back fully live and all records fully restored from the morning after the crash.
