This Saturday there are no Huddersfield League matches as it is the Huddersfield Merit competition. If you have not entered and are not going as a spectator what does your Saturday afternoon look like?

Well you could go to watch Town as they start the new season at home to Leyton Orient (KO 3.00pm). That was not a good experience for many last season and who knows what things may be like after the end-of-season shake-up. Alternatively you may care to sit back and enjoy Saturday afternoon sport on TV.

This Saturday sees the National Bowls Championship from Scotland. Yes I know it is the Lawn Bowls version but that doesn't stop you appreciating and enjoying watching our sister sport. The Bowls Scotland competition is the biggest week-long bowls event in the world coming from the National Centre for Bowling in Ayr. Two major finals will be played out on Saturday afternoon and both are available on the BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport website.

The Gents Singles Final is on from 1.30pm to 3.30pm followed by the Ladies Singles Final starting around 3.30pm.
