An Exhibition of bowling memorabilia is to be held for six weeks at the Colne Valley Museum from 7 October to 19 November. The Museum only opens between 12pm and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The museum address is Cliffe Ash, Golcar, Huddersfield HD7 4PY.

The next exhibition at the museum is John Ingleby's Bowling Exhibition - Looking back over the Years in Huddersfield and District. Bowling has been a leisure activity since Victorian times. This is an interesting exhibition and there will be competitions too.

John Ingleby is the Exhibition organiser and he is now appealing for anyone with any memorabilia to come forward and offer the loan of suitable material for the duration of the Exhibition. John is also looking for volunteers to man the museum for some of the dates to talk to visitors about what bowling means to them or to help in setting up the displays in advance. You can contact John on 01484 304511 or 07982 644 357 for further information.
