A preview of the Divisions 5 & 6 fixtures scheduled for Thursday 7 December
The Division 6 fixtures postponed last Thursday have been rearranged for next Tuesday 12 December with the usual 11.30am start time. The League's Bowlsnet pages have been updated accordingly.
A new date for the Division 6 fixtures postponed on the same day will be discussed with the teams when they meet tomorrow at Netherton Cons and a decision made at that time.

A bottom-of-the-table clash in Division 5 could be Netherton Con B's last hope of a first win of the season before Christmas. They take on Almondbury BC B who are well off the standards they set themselves last season when missing out on the title and promotion on the final day (sorry for raising such painful memories once again). A 6-2 solitary win over promotion-chasing Slaithwaite being their only win but demonstrating their potential which may be sufficient to see them home this week.
Jackson Bridge are the division's form team at present having won their last three matches but that form will be tested when they face the leaders Outlane this week. With second-placed Springwood C having a bye it opens up an opportunity for Brockholes B to move into the promotion frame and possibly even top spot with a big win against the Recreation Club.
Slaithwaite remain on the fringe of the promotion chase after failing to win any of their last three matches and this Thursday they meet a Mirfield A side that hasn't lost since the opening day of the season.
With Linthwaite Hall opening up a 12-point lead at the top of the Division 6 table focus turns to the second promotion place with New Mill C and Lockwood Con B locked together on 38 points each and straight-forward looking fixtures lined up this Thursday. New Mill C play Cowcliffe B and Lockwood Con B meet Golcar C&BC and both will be looking to complete league doubles over their opponents to retain their interest in matters at the top end of the table.
The host club Huddersfield RUFC are the only team not beaten by Linthwaite Hall this season after an opening day 4-4 draw prior to the leaders going on a 6-match winning run. They will be looking to correct that anomaly when they meet this week. The bottom two teams meet up when Kirkheaton Con B take on a Mirfield B side looking for their firs win of the season. The teams drew 4-4 when they started their campaigns and both will fancy their chances of adding to their points tally.
