Bistro semi-finals on Thursday

New Mill B are having a phenomenal run in the Bistro. The 5 pairs format obviously suits them to the extent that they have now won more matches in the Bistro than they have all season in the League. Currently they are bottom of the bottom division having won only 3 of their 13 league matches. Their Bistro form is the direct opposite of all that as they have won all 4 of their ties to date but come up against their first team from Division 1 when they take on Lindley Lib A in Thursday's semi-finals.

In the other semi-final the Division 2 leaders take on the Division 3 leaders when Elland WMC face Almondbury Lib at Longwood. The Elland team have already eliminated two Division 1 teams, Lockwood Con A and Cowcliffe, from the competition whilst Almondbury Lib have also claimed two Division 1 scalps in Golcar Lib A and Lowerhouses.

The format for the Bistro is a five-pairs competition with the aggregate score determining the winners. In the event of a drawn aggregate scoreline then the team that has won the most games will go through to the next round. The Final will be played at Brockholes on 28 August.
