Preview of the Veterans 6-Man League fixtures scheduled for Monday 25 August

The top four teams in Division 1 have away fixtures lined up this week with 5th placed Shepley A the highest placed team with a home match this Monday. That match is against the table toppers Clayton West A and a big win would push them right into the title chase.

Some interest at the foot of the table as well with bottom team, Brockholes A, entertaining 10th placed Thongsbridge A. With just 4 points between them, there is a lot at stake.

The table below shows the remaining 6 fixtures for the top three teams in Division 1. They all have 3 at home and 3 away whilst only Marsh Utd have to play both of their prime rivals, which may well suit them.

The Division 2 title and promotion chase is down to three teams who are now separated by 2 points. Of those three only Lindley Lib A have a home fixture this week when they take on a Crosland Moor team looking for points to move them out of the drop zone.

Milnsbridge B are in 2nd place in the updated Division 3 table just 12 points behind the leaders, Almondbury Lib who have stuttered a little this month losing 2 of their last 4 fixtures. Whereas the Milnsbridge team have won all of their last 10 matches and are the form team in Division 3.

At the foot of the table there are just 2 points separating the bottom three teams. Two of those teams have home matches this week and will be looking to maximise that advantage. The odd team out being Hemplow A who have to go to as they travel to play Linthwaite Hall who have lost 4 of their last 6 fixtures so offering some hope for the visitors.

Hemplow B continue to the Division 4 table and now have a 19-point lead over 2nd placed Skel Windmill B. Both teams are at home this week, with the leaders taking on 2nd from bottom Brockholes C. Skel Windmill B have Thongsbridge C as visitors
