Preview of the Division 6&7 fixtures scheduled for Thursday 29 January

The top two teams in Division 6 go up against each other when anything other than a win for Brockholes B over leaders Cowcliffe B will surely signal a title win for the Cowcliffe outfit. It takes less than that for Cowcliffe to secure their promotion this week as 3 points from their top of the table clash will put them beyond the scope of third placed Springwood C. So lots at stake and it would be foolish to rule anything out but Springwood C have a lot of catching up to do if they want to ruffle a few feathers at the top of the house.
Netherton Con B look doomed although they still have a mathematical chance of avoiding relegation along with the Hanging Heaton B team. The two teams clash this week where they will probably damage each other's chances of escaping the drop.

Last day of the season coming up for the Division 7 teams and once again things have still to be finalised at both ends of the table. The Rugby Club need three points from their final fixture to win the title and it is against Lockwood Con B who need the points themselves to avoid being dragged into the relegation places. Similarly, second-placed Kirkheaton Con B need three points to secure their promotion although two would probably suffice with their better Aggregate For score taken into account. Broad Oak A are already relegated and will be joined by New Mill C if they don't beat Holmfirth A 8-0 in their final day fixture.
