Review of Tuesday's Veterans 10-Man League match results from Divisions 3,4&5
The Division 3 Leaders lose; Division 4 last 100% win record goes and two 9-0 scorleines in Division 5. Just another Monday in the 6-Man League.

The Division 3 leaders, New Mill A, lost for the second time this season but managed to hang on to top spot after a 3-6 away defeat at Linthwaite Hall. Only a better Aggregate For total kept them ahead of Golcar Lib B who won 7-2 at home to relegation-threatened Paddock I&C. Despite the win for Linthwaite Hall they drop a place to fourth as they were overtaken by Brockholes A who collected a 7-2 home win over bottom of the pile Springwood who are still looking for a first win of 2026. Again it is only a better Aggregate For total separating the teams in 3rd and 4th positions, as only three points separate the top four teams.
Lindley Lib B drop a place to 5th after losing 3-6 away at Kirkheaton C&BC and Slaithwaite were the only away team winners of the day as they heaped more pain on Holmfirth A when beating them 6-3. Skel Windmill A enjoyed a second consecutive 6-3 home win with Thorpe Green being on the wrong end of that scoreline this week.

The last two unbeaten records in the 10-Man League went west this week. Following the previously reported first defeat for Division 1 leaders, Lowerhouses it was the turn of Kirkheaton Con B to lose their 100% win record in Division 4 and they drop out of the promotion places as a result. The victors this time being Milnsbridge making it 3 home wins out of 3 to date and moved them up 4 places and well clear of the 2nd relegation place that they vacated. That spot has been taken by David Brown Sports after losing 1-8 at home to Marsh Lib A who who were the only away winners of the day and they go second.
It is the Rugby Club that continues to set the pace at the top after a 7-2 home win over Marsh United B to make it four wins on the bounce. Regulation home wins for Huddersfield Recreation Club, Thongsbridge B and Meltham B kept the three winners well in tune with matters at the head of the table

A whitewash 9-0 scoreline doesn't happen too often in a season and an away 9-0 win is almost unheard of but we had one of each this week in Division 5 and that was only the start of a shake-up of matters at the top of the table. Prime mention goes to Lindley BC B after their 9-0 away win at Hemplow B and that lifted them three places into the second promotion spot and sent Hemplow down 4 places to 11th.
That still leaves the Lindley team behind the other 9-0 victors and new leaders Netherton Con B, who overwhelmed Holmfirth B, who drop four places to 7th spot. That shake-up was greatly assisted by Primrose Hill Lib who beat the previous leaders, Broad Oak A on their own turf by 7-2 which sent the Broad Oak team down to third place but left the winning Pip Hill side unchanged in 4th position.
The New Mill B team has a very strong home record having won all three of the home fixtures this season, the latest being an 8-1 success over Kirkheaton C&BC B who drop two places to 10th, whilst the New Mill team climb 4 places to fifth. Marsh Lib B also have an unbeaten home record stretching to three matches after Tuesday's 7-2 win over Dalton. Bottom team Almondbury BC B almost caused an upset away at Greenhead Park when a 110-111 aggregate scoreline went against them and denied them a second consecutive win so they had to settle for three points from their away trip but they are clearly heading in the right direction.
