Jonny Sneddon (of Thongsbridge) is the reigning SOUTH YORKSHIRE merit holder. And to answer Philip's Q, the Senior Merit (All England to many) was never really a televised event given it's format of a one day (2 green) 64 runner event.

The Waterloo, CofC, Bass Masters and many other events got airtime back in the halcyon days when Crown Green was a cheap option for TV filler.

In more recent times, it was streamed with permission by BCGBA (Not a cheap option to do it well) and there is coverage of the last two Yorkshire winners (Ashley Daykin 2014 and Chris Mordue 2018) All England 2014
