Primrose Hill Lib continue to set a good pace at the top of the Division 4 table following a 6-2 win over Milnsbridge B on Monday. After losing their opening game of the season they have won three on the bounce now to open up a three-points gap at the top.

Teams are evenly spaced out as you scroll down the table until you get into the bottom half where three teams are locked together on 14 points. All three lost their matches this week by the same 2-6 scoreline on Monday along with bottom of the table Lindley Lib C. They lost to Netherton Con A this week as they continue to struggle to come to terms with their new surroundings. Last season they ran away with the Division 5 title going clear by a massive 22 points. That seems to have all changed this term as they are missing their own green but there are good bowlers in this team who are better than their latest results are showing.

Elland WMC came up from Division 5 with the Lindley team and they have settled much better and are establishing themselves at this level with a 6-2 win over Linthwaite Hall their latest step forward. Huddersfield Recreation Club A came down from Division 3 last season and have settled comfortably in the promotion places after a 6-2 win over Brockholes A who dropped through the relegation trapdoor with them.

A gap is opening up in the Division 10 table with the top three teams having a 4-points lead over the chasing pack. Leading that pack is the Skel Windmill team who remain unbeaten after playing two of the top three teams and drawing both of them, I fully expect them to lift themselves into contention for the top two places after a second 4-4 drawn match with Rastrick this time.

Only Hemplow have a 100% win record after the first two rounds of fixtures in the shortened version of the competition with the latest being an 8-0 win over Lindley Lib D which was a first defeat for them. There was a second 8-0 scoreline with Thongsbridge inflicting a whitewash outcome on Outlane B who sit bottom after two 0-8 reversals. Things can only get better for them. Lindley Lib E lifted themselves above Brockholes D after beating them 6-2 to complete the second round of Division 10 fixtures.
