Well Bowled Fantasy League

Golcar Lib had two entrants in the 2023 Fantasy League competition and one of them, Geoff Rothery, came out tops of the 77 bowlers bidding for the £100 prize fund. The season-long competition finished on Friday with the final Division 2 fixture and saw Geoff holding a 30 points lead over long-time leader Jeff Smith of Meltham.

The winners receive Sales Voucher to spend at Well Bowled of Luddendenfoot the competition sponsor who continues to offer their support for this unique competition.

I was pleased to see that 3 of the top 4 finishers in the Summer competition were Lucky Dip selections including the winner and I am keeping quiet about 8 of the bottom 10 also being Lucky Dip entrants.

Anyone wondering why the number of matches played by the entrants differs then that is easily explained. It revolves around transfers as a team being transferred out may have played a different number of matches to the team coming in at that time. Players who never made a transfer will have played a total of 176 matches.

There are no transfers involved in the Fantasy Winter League but there is a £200 Prize Fund that will be paid out next February when the Winter League season closes. The entry deadline has now passed and we will be releasing details of all the entries shortly.
