Veterans League postpone AGM

Veterans League

The Veterans League has circulated all clubs to inform them that the decision has been taken to postpone the Annual General Meeting until a later date still to be determined. The full communications from the League to clubs is below.

The Management Committee of the HDVBA met on Monday and decided, amongst other things, to postpone the AGM that was scheduled Monday 15 February 2021 to a later, as yet undecided, date in March. You’ll appreciate that it is totally dependent upon Covid restrictions.

We are planning a full programme of league matches and competitions in 2021. I know it’s depressing in Tier 3 but outdoor sports are allowed so we’re as confident as we can be that some form of bowling will be allowed in the summer.

The impact of postponing the AGM is that decisions usually taken at that meeting need discussing and agreeing so we can plan ahead. You’ll therefore be receiving a pack in the post any day now requiring you to advise us of your team intentions by 11 January latest, vote on revision of the bye-laws, nominate new Management Committee members and keep us updated on your club reps for the 2021 handbook.

If we believe a physical AGM is possible toward the end of March we’ll be able to hand out 2021 Year Books at the event

Richard Armitage

General Secretary
