Winter League Review of the Division 3 & 4 fixtures played on Monday 27 November

The top four teams in Division 3 all won their Monday matches this week with the top three all recording 8-0 whitewash wins. That means that all nine teams retain the league positions that they were in at the start of the day.
Whitewash wins for Marsh United, Hanging Heaton and Milnsbridge B means that the race for honours remains the same. The stand out result being Hanging Heaton's win over Thorpe Green which was by the record score of 63-15 which was one better than their previous record of 63-16. Marsh United and Milnsbridge B saw off then see off Dalton 63-33 and Rastrick 63-47 respectively.
Lindley Lib B completed the top four dominant day when the beat Paddock I&C by 6-2.
A different picture in Division 4 where the top two met up and New Mill B defeated Thorpe Green C by 6-2 in an entertaining encounter with a notable number of spectators staying back to watch the final game going New Mill's way when Bruce Jakeman ended Alan Hobson's unbeaten record to clinch the match 62-52. That win put the New Mill team back on top of the table but with a lot still to be decided.
The day also saw Lindley Lib C take closer order on the second promotion place after beating Springwood B 6-2 to send their opponents to the bottom of the table after Almondbury BC A clocked up a 4-4 draw (51-50 aggregate) with Kirkheaton C&BC to lift them up a place. After losing their first three matches of the season, Lowerhouses B made it three 6-2 wins on the bounce when seeing off Milnsbridge C whose own promotion push was suffering another setback.
