The government has announced it will provide a further one-off grant for eligible businesses through a new 'restart grants' scheme. The grants are to help businesses to plan ahead and safely relaunch trading as coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
The one-off grant will be open for applications between 1 April 2021 and 30 June 2021. Final payments by the 31 July 2021.
Please note the Restart Grant scheme is for businesses on the ratings list only.

We will use the information we already have to make the grant payment you are eligible for.
We may email your business asking you to self-certify that circumstances remain the same:
Please follow the instructions in the email.
Once your business has self-certified you will receive a confirmation email.
We will confirm any amounts your business is eligible for within 10 days of receiving the form.
Not all businesses will receive this email so don't worry if you don't get one.
The earliest date payments will be made is week ending 18 April 2021:
Subject to us receiving funds from the Government
and carrying out the stricter pre-payment checks the Government have stated we must do to manage the risk of fraud and payments in error
The checks we carry out include:

Using a counter-fraud bank account checker in partnership with Experian.
