With the aid of grants from Sport England, the Parish Council and local community groups Grange Moor has invested £38,000 in improving surrounds to the green at their Briestfield Road home.
The work has provided new wood borders to the green and a new walking surface around the whole green as well as some new fencing. An adjacent piece of ground between the green and the road is being developed as a quiet garden area for local residents to walk through and dally a while.
It’s good to see what some clubs have been up to and also to hear where they have got the money from.
As stated on a number of occasions it would be good if there was a focal point for advice on the sources and availability of grants. Why can’t the BCGBA do this in recognition of the thousands of pounds it receives in fees, or nearer home the YCGBA or indeed one of the local Leagues ?
just a thought
